WASHING ADVICES

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Cotton is a natural cellulose fibre. Begin a natural fibre it has a high absorption capacity, resulting in highly durable and comfortable fabrics, but we should also observe certain care and washing guidelines.
Before washing, read clothing labels carefully and follow their instructions.
Bear in mind that a large amount of water gives a smoother finish to the fabric.
Always try to remove stains as soon as they appear, or at least mitigate them by dampening the area to remove the moststubborn part.
Too much detergent can damage clothes and pollute the enviroment, and poorly dissolved detergent can mark the fabric.
Do not over-fill the washing machine: overloading can mean that clothes are not cleaned properly.
Tumble-dryers wear fabric out quickly and use up a great deal of energy.
Sunlight damages the colours of garments so either hang them in the shade or inside.out to maintain their condition.
The majority if new garments contain sizing and colorant remains between their fibres and it is normal for them to release some colour during the first wash, so it is always a good idea to do an initial pre-wash.
Start ironing garments at the lowest temperature and gradually increase it. In the case of dark colours, iron the garment inside-out or when slightly damp.

WASHING ADVICES TABLECLOTHS

Always do an initial pre-wash before you use the tablecloth for the first time; this is very important because the majority of new articles contain sizing and colorant remains between their fibres so if tablecloth becomes stained before you have removed all the sizing, the stains will adhere to them and later be much more difficult to remove. In addition the colorant remains can run, so first of all you need to make sure they are completely eliminated.

Try not to wash tablecloths alongside articles made from polyester, as this material forms particles that adhere to natural fibres and alter the smoothness of the fabric.

Bear in mind that it is normal for your tablecloth to shrink slightly after the first wash (between 4%-8%). Take this into consideration when choosing your tablecloth.
Constant washing wears out the fabric and fades colours, so it is advisable to always wash all the napkins at the same time as the tablecloth to maintain a uniform colour.

WASHING ADVICES TOWELS

Before using fot de first time, it is advisable to wash your towels to make them and more absorbent. Remember that towels do not achieve their maximum softness and absorbency until after they have benn washed a few times.
Do not use bleach as it could alter the colour of the towels.Fabric conditioner is not recommended for these articles as it can reduce the absorbent properties of the cotton.
The use of a tumble-dryer at moderate temperature is recommended for towels.
